Sept. 17 - 24th 
Visited Olympic National Park with my habibi Kassem in the beautiful state of Washington! (RIGHT) We stayed at a great bed & breakfast near the park too. We hiked, kayaked, and took a ferry to Victoria, British Columbia, as well. It was a very refreshing and enjoyable trip for us both :-)
November 5 - 7thKassem and I went to Las Vegas to catch The Lion King! We stayed at the Luxor, and also got to see the fountains, art gallery, and garden at the Bellagio, the Secret Garden at the Mirage, and ascended the Eiffel Tower at the Paris hotel!
November 11 - 13th Drove down to Mexicali, Mexico, for the wedding of one of my colleagues. The Mexican people were very warm and friendly and the wedding and reception were great!
November 25thStumbled upon a great pair of front and center tickets for Cirque du Soleils' Iris show at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood! It was the most AWESOME spectacle I've ever seen in my life! Wow! We're definitely Cirque du Soleil fans now :-)
December 4thTook my habibi and our friend Werner to Knotts Merry Farm for their Christmas celebrations! We had a great time, went on plenty of rides, didn't hardly wait in line for anything, and were completely exhausted by the end :-)
December 24thTo help celebrate our first Christmas together, and Kassem's first Christmas ever, I took him to see The Nutcracker performed by the Los Angeles Ballet in Redondo Beach!
2012
January 2ndWe went to the 2012 Rose Parade! It was Kassems' first time, and we enjoyed celebrating the New Year Southern California style with our friend Lia :-)
January 29thTo celebrate our one-year anniversary I took Kassem to Disney California Adventure for his first time! (LEFT) His favorite attractions were Soarin' Over California, It's Tough to Be a Bug, the musical Aladdin, and World of Color. A beautiful day spent with a beautiful person :-)
February 19thTo celebrate my habibis' 39th birthday, we went to Cirque du Soleils "Ovo" performance at the Santa Monica Pier! Wow! What another incredible show by Cirque du Soleil
February 25 - 27thAnd also to celebrate Kassems' birthday, we're spending two nights at the Mt. Baldy Lodge...and hoping for snow!
March 18thLast year, my friend Werner and I never actually made land on Anacapa Island. This year I'd like to try again. It's a great time to catch the humpback whales in the water as well!
June 3 - 7th I'll be taking Kassem to Sequoia National Park for his first time! We'll be staying at Wuksachi Lodge, where we'll be surrounded by alpine forests and wildlife.
August 11 - 15thPlanning on taking my niece Shelby and nephew Tanner to the theme park(s) of their choice in Orlando, FL!
October 6 - 19th We're heading out with our friends Werner and Ursula to Acadia National Park in Maine!
We'll be staying at Cafe Drydock Inn and Manor House Inn. Things we'd like to do include kayaking, sailing, taking a ferry out to Swans Island, bicycling the carriage roads, and plenty of hiking! We plan on flying in and spending a day in Boston, then driving along the coast to Mount Desert island, Maine. We'll have to stop at probably the most famous lighthouse in the United States, Portland Head Lighthouse
2013
January 1st Our annual tradition to head to the Rose Parade! I'm hoping to see the USC Trojan band in the parade for the first time since 2009 ;-)
Jan 27 - Feb. 2ndTo celebrate our 2nd anniversary, Kassem and I are planning on visiting San Francisco! We'll be staying at the Crescent San Francisco, and plan on visiting such sites as Fishermans Wharf, Chinatown, and the Golden Gate Bridge
MayPlanning a trip to the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and Zion National Parks!
NovemberWe're already planning on an African Safari trip to Tanzania! We'll be staying in various tented camps, and I don't really feel like we'll be roughing it. We're also planning on spending a few days in Nairobi, Kenya, where we can visit sites such as the Karen Blixen House
